Following a request from Chiltern District Council, volunteers from Chiltern Society and other local volunteers have made use of their conservation skills at Hyde Heath Common, to remove holly which was restricting light getting to the woodland floor, during April, May and June.

Hyde Heath Village Society would like to thank the volunteers from Chiltern Society and other volunteers who turned up to assist.

Litter Pickers

The annual Hyde Heath Village Litter Pick took place on 20th April 2013. The Village Society would like to thank the splendid efforts of all those volunteers who came out to help. The event was a great success, as could be seen from the vast number of rubbish bags which were amassed at the end of the event.

Our congratulations and special thanks go to Chas Manson for picking such a fine day and for organising another successful event.
