Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s litter pick – in particular to Chas and Jan Manson for their organization. The haul for the day was 44 bags of rubbish, 7 tyres and a lorry wheel!

The Village Society would like to invite you to take part in the annual Hyde Heath Litter Pick. This year, it will take place at 10 am on Saturday 28th March 2015, by the flag pole, at the centre of the village, opposite the Village Hall.

We look forward to the support of many of the villagers.

This year Hyde Heath, has been awarded runners-up prize in Bucks Best Kept Village, in the small villages category. There were 57 entries in total, and six different categories.

Following a request from Chiltern District Council, volunteers from Chiltern Society and other local volunteers have made use of their conservation skills at Hyde Heath Common, to remove holly which was restricting light getting to the woodland floor, during April, May and June.

Hyde Heath Village Society would like to thank the volunteers from Chiltern Society and other volunteers who turned up to assist.

Litter Pickers

The annual Hyde Heath Village Litter Pick took place on 20th April 2013. The Village Society would like to thank the splendid efforts of all those volunteers who came out to help. The event was a great success, as could be seen from the vast number of rubbish bags which were amassed at the end of the event.

Our congratulations and special thanks go to Chas Manson for picking such a fine day and for organising another successful event.
